Ultimate Drill Book is awarding thousands of dollars in prizes to help students march drum corps in 2024.
Students at least 18 years of age who have never marched drum corps are eligible to participate.
PRELIMS
To participate in the UDB DCI Tour Fee Giveaway, a marcher must submit an application, a video, and post the prelims graphic on their social media by June 23 at 11:59pm CST.
Application and Video
Each participant will submit an application and create a 1-minute video about their love of drum corps and what winning the UDB Tour Fee Giveaway would mean to them.
The more creative the better! Videos will be put up to a vote in the semifinals round.
Post Graphic to Social Media
After submitting the application, the applicant will post the “I entered prelims!” graphic to their social media channels.
Each applicant must:
- Post the provided graphic to at least one of your social media channels (the more channels you post to, the better your chance is of advancing).
- Tag @ultimatedrillbook and use #UDBTourFeeGiveaway
SEMIFINALS
Videos submitted in the prelims round will be posted and put to a vote! Voting starts June 30 and ends July 9 at 11:59 pm!
Videos Go Live!
All semifinalist videos are posted on ultimatedrillbook.com and voting goes live on June 30!
Share and Vote!
All videos will be available to view and share. The more votes a video has, the better chance that participant has to be a finalist!
The applicant with the most votes on their video at the end the semifinals round gets an automatic bid to the UDB Tour Fee Giveaway Finals!
2 other finalists are chosen by our panel of judges based on their video submission, enthusiasm to shared on social media, and prelims application. These 3 finalists win an all-expenses paid trip to DCI Finals Week 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana!
FINALS
The finalists will watch shows, see rehearsals, experience the warm-up lots, and ultimately compete to win the UDB DCI Tour Fee Giveaway.
The final round is a live competition that tests the finalist’s skills in all things marching band. The participants will do things like march drill with a brass instrument, spin a rifle, change a drum head, grab their dot book, take off their marching shoes, and try to cross the finish line first!
The final live round takes place on the field during the intermission at DCI Semifinals!

Runners-up
$500 towards tour fees paid directly to a DCI corps that they are contracted to march in 2024.
